Qatar-based healthtech startup iQtech has successfully closed its first investment round with backing from European assessment technology firm Selexi and deep-tech partner Yuniro. The funding will support the development of the company’s XR-based medical simulation platform and accelerate its expansion across the region.
Founded in 2025 by Nassim Davide Sidaoui, iQtech is developing EsculapioVR, an AI-powered training and assessment platform that integrates immersive virtual reality simulations with AI-driven evaluation tools. The platform aims to modernise medical education by enabling healthcare professionals to train in highly realistic digital environments while receiving data-driven performance feedback.
The investment will be used to accelerate product development, strengthen the company’s technical infrastructure, and scale the deployment of its platform across Qatar and the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Operating from Qatar Science & Technology Park in Doha, iQtech is positioning itself at the intersection of healthtech and edutech. Through its cross-reality (XR) technologies, the startup aims to deliver high-fidelity simulation solutions not only for healthcare training but also for civil and military sectors.
The successful completion of the funding round marks a key milestone for iQtech as it transitions from its founding phase into a structured growth stage, focusing on scaling its platform and strengthening its presence across the regional training and simulation ecosystem.
